GSi Gemini - Firmware Update HOW TO PERFORM THE FIRMWARE UPDATE: 1. Copy the file Gemini.upd to the root directory of a FAT32 formatted USB drive 2. Insert the USB drive into one of the USB Host ports of the Gemini From the Wi-Fi Editor: - Connect to the Gemini Wi-Fi Editor - In the home page of the Gemini Editor, below the "FILES" section, you can read the version information, next to there you have an "update" link, click or tap the "update" label and wait until the editor page is reloaded. From the Editor App: - Connect to the Gemini - In the GLOBALS page, click/tap the Firmware Update button on the top left corner of the screen and wait until the Editor restarts the connection. If you get an error message, please double check that you have correctly copied the Gemini.upd file onto the root directory of your USB drive; if you still get an error, please try with a different USB drive. A FAT32 formatted drive must be used, possibly not greater than 32 GB. If you are formatting the drive from a Mac computer, make sure you're applying a FAT32 format or download the official SDFormatter application. After the installation of a new firmware, always check that the firmware version has changed. PLEASE NOTE: The Wi-Fi Connection may be lost after an update. In case you can't connect, wait 1 minute then power-cycle the unit and retry the connection. ================================================================================================================= GSi Gemini - Version history Firmware Version 1.50 - May 2023 - The last volume value is now remembered if the flag Preset Volume is set to Ignore - Fixed reboot issue when recalling programs from MIDI Program Change too fast - Fixed sporadic glitches when loading big sample sets - Further minor internal improvements Firmware Version 1.49 - April 2023 - Added new types: "Harmon Mute" and "Cup Mute" to the Brass engine - Gemini Rack & Desktop only: optimized rotary encoder response - Optimized sample expansion installation - Fixed note lag on Tine Piano engine that only affected the early units - Fixed minor issue with GSP-01 engine that would not reset properly when switching between different engines Firmware Version 1.48, Editor version 1.1.2 - Sep 2022 - Fixed some stability issues for some newly built Gemini 2022 edition - Editor v.1.1.2: - Fixed crash on macOS version when saving a Preset - Added drop-down preset list when saving a Preset - Some minor internal improvements Firmware Version 1.47, Editor version 1.1.1 - Feb 2022 - Improved the String Machine - Added VA Preset "VA SELECT ONLY" to select the VA engine without modifying its parameters - No longer responds to MIDI CC #0 (could cause parameters to reset unwantedly) - Editor v.1.1.1: - Adds compatibility with CME Widi Bud Pro (MIDI over Bluetooth) (only for supported platforms, currently Mac OS and iOS) - Improved downloading presets from the Cloud - All on/off toggle switches now also respond to a single click/tap - Partial support for screen readers Firmware Version 1.46 - Feb 2022 - Fixed stability issues that affected only some early units (built in 2015/2016) Firmware Version 1.45, Editor version 1.1.0 - Dec 2021 - New improved physical models: Tine EP, Reed EP, Electric Grand - General improvements concerning the installation of wavetable expansions - Editor v.1.1.0: - Added free CLOUD service to share Presets with other users.
