GSi DantePDF is a free PDF Viewer for Windows.
Now you're probably wondering why we spent some of our time making yet another PDF viewer when there are already so many out there!
And you're right, there are so many that we wasted more time searching for a name that hasn't already been used than actually making the application :)
The point is that for our daily work, we often need to view documents in PDF format, like anyone who works with a computer these days.
The problem is that many PDF readers are slow, full of ads, and full of useless features. The workflow is often interrupted by pointless notifications,
proposals to upgrade to a subscription or purchase a professional version, etc., when all we need is to be able to view a PDF document in peace and quiet.
DantePDF offers only the basic functions:
- Opens multiple documents under different tabs
- Offers zoom and search
- Offers page rotation (rather than the entire document), which is very useful for technical documents such as service manuals or wiring diagrams
- Offers printing of the entire document or selected pages
- Offers a built-in snapshot function (SHIFT + mouse button and drag) to save or print a portion of the document
- Offers a list of the last 20 documents opened
- Intercepts links within the document
- Shows bookmarks only if present and only when the appropriate button is pressed
- Opens instantly
- Does not make web calls, does not display ads, does not collect any data, and does not interrupt workflow with unnecessary messages.
GSi Dante PDF is a freeware program for Windows, based on the PDFium library and the Juce framework.
